Arulanda Nagar 1st Main Road is where we are, right across from that nursery. We've got 75M as our spot. It’s mostly just a few of us teaching kids how to do sums in their heads without needing a calculator or a phone. We call it Bodhi Institute of Mind Arithmeticsystems, which is a bit of a mouthful, but it's what's on the paperwork. The room we use isn't anything special. It’s got enough chairs for the students and some boards on the walls. We get a lot of noise from the street sometimes, especially when the nursery across the way is busy. Most of the parents around here know us because we’ve been in this location for a good while. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. We just focus on the lessons and making sure the kids understand the abacus work. It takes a lot of practice, so the kids are usually here for an hour or two every week. We keep a stash of pencils and notebooks for them. The lights flicker a bit when it rains, but we just keep going. It’s a very local operation. Most of us live within walking distance, so we're part of the neighborhood. We aren't looking to become a giant chain; we just like seeing the kids get better at their math. It's simple work but it keeps us busy every day.
