Our base is at 829/A Lake Town, specifically in the Block Aj.J. House. Bhawani Urban Housing Development Private Limited is what the registration says. Lake Town is a nice enough area but building houses here is always a challenge. There are so many rules to follow and the space is often tight. We spend our days visiting sites and making sure the walls are straight and the plumbing is actually going where it should. It is a lot of walking around in the sun and talking to neighbors who are worried about the noise. Our office at J. House is where we keep all the folders and the legal papers. It is often a mess of coffee cups and discarded sketches. We do not have any polished reception area or a person in a uniform waiting at the door. You just walk in and find us working. Housing is a tough business because people are very particular about where they are going to live. We understand that, so we just try to be honest about how long things take. Sometimes the bricks are late or the workers do not show up, and we have to deal with that. It is just regular urban development work without any of the fancy talk you see in brochures. We just build things as they are supposed to be built and try to be fair about it.
