Balaji Vandana Exports Llp is our office located in Alipore at 5 Hasting Park Road. We are in Flat No. 1 inside the Hasting Garden complex. It’s a nice enough area to work in, fairly quiet compared to some of the more central parts of Kolkata. We are an export business, which basically means we spend our time figuring out how to get products out to our customers in different places. We don’t have a giant warehouse or a huge staff. It’s just a small team of us working from this flat. Our office is filled with desks, computers, and stacks of paper because the export business requires a lot of documentation. We don't have any fancy decorations or a lobby. If you come by, you’ll probably just see us busy on the phones or typing away. We aren't trying to sound like a big corporate firm because we aren't one. We just handle our daily tasks, talk to shipping companies, and make sure the invoices are correct. Sometimes things get complicated with customs or shipping schedules, and we just have to sit down and sort it out. It’s a lot of problem-solving. We’ve been at this for a while and we have a routine that works for us. We don't do much in the way of promotion; we just rely on our work and the people we know in the trade. It’s a straightforward, local way of doing things in a quiet corner of Alipore.
