Our office is located in Salt Lake, Sector 5, in the DN-1 building. We are up on the sixth floor. Being in Sector 5 means we are surrounded by all the tech companies and big buildings, which is a bit different from the older parts of Kolkata. ALTAS REAL ESTATE PRIVATE LIMITED isn't about fancy sales pitches or big glossy brochures. We are mostly focused on the actual buildings and the spaces people need. The office is pretty standard with desks and some computers. Sometimes the AC hums too loud and other times it’s perfectly quiet. We deal with property every day, so we see a lot of people coming in with questions about where to move or what’s being built next. It’s a lot of local knowledge and keeping track of who owns what. We don't have a big HR department or anything corporate like that. We are just a small team trying to stay on top of the real estate market here. Some days the traffic in Salt Lake is a nightmare, so we might get in a bit late, but we stay until the work is finished. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking sites to make sure everything is okay. We like being in this part of town because everything is new and changing fast. There is always a lot of construction noise nearby, which reminds us of what we do.
