Adrito Welfare Foundation

You can find Adrito Welfare Foundation at 10/L/1, Jessore Road (South) in Barasat. We are right on the main road, which is good for people trying to find us, but it does get very noisy with all the traffic going by towards Kolkata. The office is a small space tucked into one of the buildings there. We handle welfare work for people in the Barasat area. It’s a lot of different things, mostly helping out families who are struggling or need some kind of assistance. We have a lot of files piled up on the shelves because there is always something to do. The staff is just a few local people who know Jessore Road like the back of their hands. We don't have any polished reception area or anything like that. You just walk in and someone will be there at a desk. Sometimes we have to shout a bit to be heard over the trucks outside. We try to keep things moving along. People come from all over this part of North 24 Parganas to see if we can help them. It’s honest work, and we don't try to make it seem like more than it is. We are just a local foundation trying to do some good where we can. The tea guy comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a small break. It is a bit dusty because of the road, but we keep it clean as we can.
