Duliajan Janakalyan Foundation operates out of 1 No Duliajan Gaon. We are located at Upen Dutta’s place. It is easy to find if you are familiar with the Naharkatia area. We are in the Dibrugarh district. This foundation is a local thing. We don’t have a big fancy office building with glass doors. It’s a village house and that suits us just fine. Upen Dutta has been kind enough to let us use this space for our work. People around here in Duliajan Gaon know us. We just try to help out where we can. It’s a small operation. Most days we are just sitting around the porch or the main room talking about what needs to be done. The weather in Dibrugarh can be a bit wet sometimes, so that slows things down. But we keep going. We are part of the community here. Being in Naharkatia means we are away from the big city noise. It’s a peaceful spot for a foundation like ours. We don’t do big advertisements. Most people hear about us through word of mouth. If you are in the village, just ask for Upen’s house. We do our best to stay organized despite the simple surroundings. It’s an honest way to run things. We’ve been here for a while and plan to stay for the long haul.
