Suripally is a quiet place and our shop sits at house number 3-10 in Chennaraopet. It’s not a big showroom or anything. We mostly have cycles lined up along the wall and some hanging from the ceiling to save space. I opened this place because people around here needed a spot to get their bikes looked at without traveling too far. Most days are steady, especially when the school season starts. You can hear the sound of the air pump going almost all day long. I keep a jar of small screws and bolts on the workbench because you never know when someone will lose a tiny part while riding on these bumpy roads. The shop gets a bit cluttered sometimes with old tires that we haven't thrown out yet. Warangal weather can be tough, so in the afternoons when it’s really hot, I usually sit on a wooden bench inside and wait for the evening rush. It’s a simple life here. I know most of the customers by name since they live just a few streets away. Sometimes people just stop by to chat for a minute while I finish up a patch on a tube. My clothes usually have a few holes from catching on gear teeth, but that’s part of the job. We keep a few basic models for sale too, mostly for kids growing up fast. It’s just me and the tools most of the time. There is always work to do.
