One Minute Key Shop

You can find One Minute Key Shop over at Shop No. 9-101 on Inlaks Hospital Road. It’s a busy little corner since we are right near Jhama Sweets and across from Jay Shankar Mandir. The smell of the sweets usually drifts over here in the mornings which is nice. We spend our time working with various keys and locks all day long. It’s a small space, mostly taken up by the machines and the boards where we hang everything. People coming from the hospital often stop by because they lost something or need a spare. The temple across the street brings in a lot of people on certain days, so the road gets quite jammed up then. We don't have a lot of room to move around inside, but it’s enough for one or two of us to work. Sometimes the machines are loud and make a lot of metal dust, so we have to sweep up constantly. It’s a simple job, really. You just watch the metal get cut and hope the customer is happy with it. We’ve been in this spot for a bit now and know the local faces. It’s not a glamorous life, but there is always something to do. The bell on the door rings pretty often throughout the afternoon. We just take things one key at a time and try not to get too behind. Most of the people around here are just trying to get through their errands.
