We operate out of Deccan Chambers, which is located at 6/3/666/b. It’s a sturdy old building that has seen a lot of years go by. Working in the cement business means things are rarely ever clean. There is always a fine layer of gray dust on the desks and the windows, no matter how much we wipe them down. It’s just the nature of the product we handle. Our office is a place of ledgers, phone calls, and the constant movement of people involved in construction. We don’t have any of those modern open-plan offices you see in the tech parks. It’s all very traditional here, with heavy furniture and files stacked up in the corners. We spend our time coordinating loads and making sure the bags get to the sites where they are needed. It’s a lot of logistical head-scratching sometimes, especially when the trucks are delayed. The staff here has been around for a long time, so we’ve seen the city grow and change around us. We aren't interested in sounding like a big polished corporation. We’re just people who know cement and how to get it moved. Usually, the day ends with us shaking the dust off our clothes and heading out into the evening air. It’s a solid, predictable kind of work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. No frills, just the daily grind of the building trade.
