Jagannath Extrusion India Ltd.

Our place, Jagannath Extrusion India Ltd., is spread across Plot No. C-1b, 1034-1037. It is a fairly large area and it takes a bit of walking to get from one end of the floor to the other. The extrusion process involves a lot of heat, so the building can get quite warm inside, especially in the middle of the summer months. We have these big machines that run for hours on end, and the hum they make is something you eventually stop noticing after a few days. Managing four different plot numbers means there is always something happening in one corner or another. We have a lot of raw material coming in on trucks and finished products going out on big flatbed trailers almost every afternoon. The yard is usually full of wooden pallets and scraps that we need to clear out every Friday before we head home. It is an industrial life, with a lot of heavy lifting and keeping a constant eye on the temperature gauges. We have a small cabin for the supervisors where the air conditioning barely works, but it is a place to sit for a minute and have some water. The walls are grey and the floor is dark from all the activity. We don't spend much time worrying about how the place looks to outsiders. We just care about the machines running smooth and the orders getting loaded on time.
