Gaoan Locks Private Limited

Gaoan Locks Private Limited is tucked away in No. 102 H Wing of Rashmi Mangal Nagar. It’s more of a functional space than anything else. We have boxes of locks piled up against the walls, from the simple ones for cupboards to the heavy ones for gates. The smell of oil and metal is pretty strong when you first walk in. We spend a lot of time testing the keys to make sure they turn smoothly without catching. If a batch comes in and the keys are sticky, it takes us all afternoon to sort through them. The H Wing is usually quiet, which is nice compared to the main road. We have a couple of desks where we handle the billing and the shipping labels. Sometimes the delivery guys get lost finding the right wing, so we have to go out and wave them down. There isn’t much decoration on the walls, just a calendar and some notes about different models. We keep a big thermos of water near the door because it gets stuffy with all the metal around. Most of our work is just checking inventory and making sure the orders go out to the right shops. It’s a small team here, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from packing boxes to answering the phone. It’s a steady kind of life, surrounded by things that are meant to keep other things safe.
