Nice Gemz

Working out of Cabin No. 5 on the first floor of S. C. O. 866 in Nac Manimajra is definitely cozy. Nice Gemz isn't a huge store with big glass windows on the street. It’s just a small room where we keep everything organized in little drawers and cases. You have to come up the stairs and find the right door in the hallway. It’s mostly quiet up here, which is good when you’re looking at small stones and trying to keep track of inventory. We spend a lot of our time sitting at the desk with a magnifying glass. My eyes get tired by the end of the day, but that’s just part of the job. The building is older, so sometimes the lift doesn’t work and we have to walk up. Manimajra is a busy place, but once you get inside the cabin, it feels like a different world. We don’t have a lot of staff, usually just one or two of us here at a time. We don't use any fancy sales talk or anything like that. If someone comes in, we just show them what we have in the boxes. Sometimes we sit and drink tea while waiting for a client to arrive. It’s a very small-scale operation, just a local spot for people who know where to look for us in the building. It’s a simple way to spend the workday.
