Perfect Retreads Pvt. Ltd. is situated right on National Highway 8/B at Plot No. 286, 202/1, and 202/2. Being near the Toll Plaza in the Gidc Estate in Vanana means we see a lot of traffic passing by all day long. The sound of the trucks on the highway is like a constant hum that you eventually stop hearing. We deal with a lot of heavy tires here, so the workspace is often covered in black dust and bits of rubber. It’s hard work and it gets messy, but it’s what we do. The building is large to accommodate all the piles of casings waiting to be worked on. We have a small office near the front where we keep the logs, but most of the action happens out on the floor. The sun can be quite brutal out here in Vanana, especially in the mid-afternoon, so we try to keep the doors open to catch whatever breeze comes off the road. Sometimes drivers pull over near the toll plaza and wander in looking for directions or a bit of help with a flat. We try to be useful where we can, though we have our own schedule to keep. It’s a dusty, busy environment but it suits us just fine. We have a regular routine that keeps things moving from the time we open the heavy gates until the sun starts to go down behind the estate and we finally head home for some rest.
