If you come down to Gidc Plot No. 5143, that is where you will find P. V. Patel. We have been operating out of this space for a while now. It started out small and stayed pretty much that way, which suits us just fine. There isn't much to say about the building itself, it's just a practical workspace where we get the job done. The morning usually starts with a cup of tea and looking over what needs to be finished by evening. Working in the GIDC means you are always surrounded by other workshops and factories, so there is never really a quiet moment. We try to keep things organized, but in a busy shop, there is always a bit of a mess somewhere. We don’t have a big team or a lot of fancy titles, just a few of us who know how things work around here. My father used to say that as long as the work is steady, we are doing alright. We don’t do much advertising or anything like that. Most people just know us from being in the area for so long. It can get quite humid in the monsoon, and the roof leaks a little bit in the corner, but we manage. It’s just the way life goes when you run a place yourself. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay out of trouble. It's a lot of hours, but it's okay. Sometimes the neighbors come over to borrow a tool or just chat for a minute.
