Jatavath Ramesh

The address is 2-89, Kakarjal Thanda, in the village of Kakarjal. It’s out in the Nawabpet mandal, so it’s a bit quiet out here compared to the city. My name is Jatavath Ramesh and this is where I run things. It’s mostly just me and a couple of family members helping out when the season gets busy. We don't have a big sign or anything like that, people just know the house and where to find us. There’s a big neem tree in the front where we sit when it’s too hot to be inside. We do a bit of everything here, whatever the local folks need help with. It’s a lot of manual work and being outside in the dirt. The roads around here aren't paved all the way, so it gets muddy when it rains. We don't use computers much, mostly just keep track of things in a notebook or on the phone. It’s a small life but it’s what we know. Sometimes we have to travel to the town to get supplies or fix something that broke. Life moves a bit slower in the Thanda, and that’s fine by us. We’ve lived here all our lives and know everyone on the street. It’s not a company in the way people think of big offices, it’s just us working every day. That is about it for us.
