Star Grc

Over at Star Grc, we spend most of our time dealing with glass fiber reinforced concrete. Our workshop is located at Plot No. 1 in Salai Jagadambal Nagar. It’s a busy place with a lot of dust and the smell of wet cement most mornings. We have been in this neighborhood for quite a while, and the locals are used to seeing our trucks moving back and forth. The work we do is pretty physical, so everyone here is usually wearing work boots and covered in a bit of grit by lunchtime. We don't have a fancy showroom or a reception desk with someone waiting to greet you. Usually, you just walk in and find one of us near the molds or the mixing station. It is a practical environment where the focus is on the materials and getting the shapes right. Salai Jagadambal Nagar has changed a bit recently, with more houses coming up nearby, but we just keep doing our thing on our plot. We take the jobs as they come, whether they are big pieces or just small bits for a local building. It’s a lot of manual labor, but it’s what we know how to do. Sometimes the rain slows us down since some of the work happens near the open doors, but we manage. It’s just a regular group of workers trying to do a solid job with the concrete every day. The neighbors sometimes complain about the noise of the mixer, but we try to keep it to the daylight hours.
