Shakti Component Industries

We are Shakti Component Industries, located right behind A-1 GIDC-1 in the Shankar Tekri Udyognagar part of Jamnagar. If you know this area, you know it’s where all the brass and metal work happens. Our workshop is usually full of the sound of machines running. It’s not a quiet place, but that means we are busy. We make various components that go into all sorts of machines and tools. Most of us here have been working with metal for years, so we know the smell of cutting oil and the sound of a lathe pretty well. We don't spend much time on computers or in meetings. Instead, we spend our hours on the shop floor making sure the pieces we produce are exactly what was asked for. The Jamnagar heat can be tough in the summer months, especially in a shed full of machinery, but we just keep the fans going and get on with it. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend the afternoon fixing it ourselves. It’s just part of the daily routine. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity; we are just a local industry doing our part in the GIDC. People around here know us as the guys who get the metal parts done without much fuss. We usually have tea together in the afternoon while looking over the day's production sheets. It’s honest work and we take it one day at a time.
