You can find Supreme Nonwoven Industries Pvt. Ltd. at Plot No. 83-a, Phase-1, right off NH-8. Being so close to the national highway means there is a constant rumble of heavy traffic passing by at all hours. We’ve grown used to it by now. The facility is fairly large because nonwoven fabrics take up a lot of space. We have these big rolls of material stacked up almost to the ceiling in some parts of the warehouse. It’s a dusty kind of work, and the fibers get everywhere, on your clothes and in your hair. We spend a lot of time monitoring the machines to make sure the thickness is right. It’s not the kind of job where you sit down much. Our workers are mostly on their feet, moving between the production line and the loading dock. We don't have a big corporate office; there’s just a small corner with a few desks where we handle the bills and the shipping notes. It’s practical and efficient, but it’s definitely not a luxury environment. We’ve been operating out of Phase-1 for a long time. We’ve seen the highway change and new factories go up all around us. We just keep our heads down and keep the rollers turning. It’s honest work and it keeps a lot of families going. Sometimes the heat in the warehouse gets to you, but we just drink plenty of water and keep the lines moving until the shift ends.
