Glamour Industries

Working out of Hall-Ii in the Epip-Pashamylaram area is a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the city. We’re deep in the Patancheru Mandal, right in the heart of the industrial zone. Glamour Industries isn’t as fancy as the name makes it sound. It’s a functional space with high ceilings and a lot of metal noise. We do a lot of manufacturing work here, mostly small parts and components that go into bigger machines. The air always smells a bit like oil and hot metal. I spend most of my time on the floor checking the machines or talking to the workers. We have about fifteen people here, all from the local villages like Pashamylaram. The commute is long for some, so we try to start early and finish before the sun gets too low. Medak District can get very dry, and the dust gets into everything if we don't keep the vents clean. This isn't a place for suits and ties. We wear work shirts and heavy boots. The office is just a small corner with a desk and a very old computer that takes forever to start up. We focus on getting the orders out on time. If a machine breaks, we fix it ourselves. It’s a tough environment, but there’s a good group of people here. We just keep the production moving day by day and hope for no power cuts.
