Durga Poultry Farm

Durga Poultry Farm is located out in Sivar Venkatapur, specifically at Sy No 312/A1 and 312/A2. It’s deep in the Mandal Jagadevpur area, so it’s pretty rural and quiet most of the time. Working on a poultry farm means days start way before the sun is even thinking about coming up. The birds don't wait for anyone, and neither do we. Keeping everything running right in the sheds takes a lot of hard work. The smell is something you just stop noticing after the first week, though visitors usually mention it pretty quick. Much of our time is spent checking on the water lines and making sure the feed is distributed properly. It’s a physical job, walking back and forth across the property. The district gets really hot in the summer, so we focus on making sure the ventilation works so the birds don't get too stressed. A fancy office or polished marketing brochures aren't part of the setup. Our daily reality is basically just the work we do every single day of the week, including Sundays. Looking after livestock means there are no days off. It’s just a few of us here, and we’ve all got callouses on our hands and dirt on our clothes. It isn't glamorous, but it’s honest work. We know the land and we know the birds, and that’s about all there is to say.
