Alfa Gamma Abrasives Products is located at Plot No. 165 on Road No. 4/A in the Kathwada G.I.D.C. area. We make things for grinding and sanding, so the whole building has a bit of a gritty feel to it. There is always a fine layer of dust on the shelves, which is just part of the job when you work with abrasives. The machinery we use is pretty basic but it gets the job done. We spend our days mixing resins and setting up the molds for the products. It’s a small shop in a very busy industrial zone, so there’s always the sound of our neighbors’ factories in the background. The sun beats down on the flat roof of the workshop, making it pretty hot by three in the afternoon. We usually keep the big bay doors open to get some breeze, even if it brings in more dust from the road. Our office is just a corner with a computer and a few chairs for when customers drop by to pick up their orders. We don't do much marketing or anything; people usually find us because they need something specific for their own metalwork or wood projects. It is a straightforward business where we focus on the manufacturing and try not to worry too much about the rest. We’ve been at this location for a while now and we know the rhythms of the G.I.D.C. quite well.
