We are located in Shop 14A on the ground floor of the Global Enclave building. It’s part of the Aruna Co-operative Housing Society on Usha Mullapudi Road in Kukatpally. The shop is tucked away a bit, so you have to look for the sign near the entrance. We have a few desks set up with computers and parts scattered around. Most of the time, we are busy looking at screens or trying to figure out why a piece of hardware isn't working right. The floor is tiled and gets cold in the winter. We have a small bench for people to sit on if they are waiting for a quick fix. It’s not a very big space, so we have to be organized with where we put the tools and the wires. Cables are everywhere, honestly, no matter how much we try to tie them up. We hear the kids playing in the society courtyard sometimes during the evening. It’s a decent place to work. We get our tea from the stall just down the road twice a day. The humidity sometimes makes the old printer jam, which is a bit of a headache. We just take things as they come, one job at a time. It’s mostly regular people from the apartments nearby who drop in. We’ve been in this shop for a while now and know the guards and the other shopkeepers quite well. It is a simple life here.
