Riparian ( A River Side Resort)

The resort is tucked away at Post Lacchanpura, not too far from Rasulpur Talka. It’s right by the water, which is why we called it Riparian. Most days, you can hear the river moving past, which is a lot nicer than the sound of cars in the city. We’ve got a handful of rooms and some outdoor space for people to sit. It takes a bit of work to keep the grass cut and the bugs away since we are so close to the riverbank. We spend a lot of time cleaning up leaves and making sure the paths are clear for guests. It’s a quiet spot, maybe too quiet for some people, but that’s the point of coming out here. We handle the cooking and the cleaning ourselves, usually. The road to get here from Rasulpur isn't the smoothest, but it brings people who really want to get away for a weekend. Sometimes the river rises a bit after a heavy rain, and we have to keep an eye on the docks. We aren't a big fancy hotel with a lobby and elevators. It’s more like staying at a friend’s place who happens to live by the water. We like it here because of the trees and the fresh air. It gets dark early out in Lacchanpura, so we usually have the lights on by five. It’s a simple life out here near the water. We hope the frogs don't croak too loud for you tonight.
