Jalaram Ginning Factory

Jalaram Ginning Factory is situated on Halvad Road in Dhangadhra. If you come by during the harvest season, you can’t miss us because of the lines of trucks filled with cotton. It’s a very seasonal business. When the cotton starts coming in, the factory runs day and night. The noise of the ginning machines is loud enough that you have to shout to be heard. We don't have a fancy office building, just a small room at the front of the factory floor where we keep the records and talk to the farmers. Everything is covered in a thin layer of white lint, no matter how much we clean. It’s a tough, physical job, and the heat in Dhangadhra doesn't make it any easier. Most of the people working here are locals who know exactly how to handle the machinery. We don't spend money on marketing or fancy signs. Our business is built on the relationships we have with the farmers who bring their crops to Halvad Road. We just focus on separating the seeds and the lint as efficiently as we can. When the season is over, the place gets quiet, and we spend our time on maintenance and repairs. It is a predictable cycle that we’ve been part of for years. We just take it one bale at a time and try to stay productive until the work is done for the year. We like it that way.
