We’ve been based at Bhargave House, number 49, in the Marol Co-Op Industrial Estate for a while. It’s on M U Road, which can be a nightmare with traffic during the rush hour. Avi Global Plast is the name on the door. We work with plastics, which means there’s always a specific smell in the air around the workshop. It’s not a fancy office building; it’s a practical space where we get things done. I spend a lot of time in the back where the machines are. They make a lot of noise, so we have to shout sometimes to be heard. We have a small team of people who have been with us for years. We eat lunch together in the small break area when we have a moment. The paperwork usually piles up on my desk because I’d rather be on the floor seeing how the production is going. We make various plastic items, nothing too complicated, just stuff that’s needed for packaging or other uses. It’s a steady business. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to spend all night fixing them, but that’s just part of the deal. We don't do much in the way of marketing, we just rely on the fact that we’ve been here a long time and people know where to find us. It’s an honest day's work. We just keep our focus on the production line.
