Xlent Corner

Our little place, Xlent Corner, is located over in New Bakaram, Gandhinagar, right at the 1-1-508/1 D-208 spot. Hyderabad is a busy city and this neighborhood is no different, with people always rushing past the front door. We keep the shop open pretty late most days because that is when the crowd really starts to move through. It’s not a very big space, and sometimes it feels a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock coming in at once. There is a small desk in the corner where we keep the ledger and a computer that’s seen better days. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to get around to it. Most of the people who come in are locals from the nearby apartments who just need a few things or want to ask a question. We don’t do much fancy advertising or anything like that because word of mouth usually does the job well enough. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon and we just sit outside on the steps until it comes back on. It’s a simple way to make a living, and we’ve gotten used to the noise of the traffic and the smell of the tea stalls nearby. We just take things one day at a time and try to keep the shelves organized without overthinking the whole process.
