Sri Gayathri Brick Industry

Out in Nadergul Village, specifically across Sy No 58 and 59, you’ll find Sri Gayathri Brick Industry. This is a Saroornagar Mandal location, which is a bit away from the main city rush of Hyderabad. The yard is almost always covered in red dust, just part of the job when dealing with bricks all day. Large open spaces allow the bricks to sit out and dry in the sun. Weather dictates a lot of what happens here. If it rains unexpectedly, it causes a whole lot of extra work to cover everything up. The kilns are usually going, so there’s a bit of smoke and plenty of heat when you get close. Our small crew of workers has been with us for a long time. It’s hard, physical labor, stacking and moving thousands of bricks every week. A website or a social media page doesn't exist for us because we’re usually too busy working in the mud or the heat to worry about that. The office is just a small room with a desk and some old ledgers for tracking the loads going out. If you walk around Sy No 58 and 59, you’ll see piles of finished product waiting for the next truck. This simple business model hasn't changed much over the years. We just make the bricks and hope for dry weather.
