About Santhosh Electrical Works – Electronics in Hyderabad
Our workshop at 674, Plot No 177 is a place where there is always something being taken apart or put back together. Santhosh Electrical Works is mostly just a big open room with a lot of workbenches and shelves full of old motors and coils. We have a lot of tools hanging on the walls, and half of them have been with us for years. The floor is concrete and has plenty of stains from oil and grease, which is pretty standard for the kind of work we do here. It’s usually just a couple of us working through the pile of repairs that come in every week. People drop off their broken equipment, and we spend our time figuring out which wire went wrong or which part burnt out. It’s a lot of sitting under bright lights and poking at circuits with screwdrivers. We don’t have a sign that’s very big, so people usually just look for the plot number on the gate. The area gets a bit dusty because of the unpaved roads nearby, so everything inside has a thin layer of grit on it by the afternoon. We usually have a radio playing somewhere in the background to keep things from being too quiet while we work. It’s a straightforward job, and we don’t spend much time worrying about how the place looks as long as the work gets done correctly. Some days are slow, and other days we can't even find a place to put a new motor down.
