A N Chary Gold Smith Works

My workshop is at Old Mig 602 in the Bhel area of Ramachandrapuram, Hyderabad. I am a goldsmith and I have been working with my hands for most of my life. The space is small and filled with the tools I need, like my small anvil, various hammers, and the blowtorch. It is not a fancy jewelry store with bright lights and velvet cushions. It is a place where actual work happens. Most of my customers are people from the neighborhood who have known me for years. They bring in their old gold to be repaired or ask me to make something new for a wedding. I do everything myself, so it takes time. I cannot rush the work because gold needs a careful hand. Sometimes my eyes get a bit strained from looking at the small details, but I still enjoy the process of melting and shaping the metal. I learned this trade from my elders back in the village. Hyderabad has grown so much around us, but my little corner in Bhel stays pretty much the same. I do not have a fancy sign outside. People just know that 602 is where I am. I do not bother with social media or anything like that. If you need a ring fixed or a chain made, you just come by and we talk about it over the bench.
