Afcons Infrastructure Ltd.

Our office is over at number 16 in the Shah Industrial Estate. It’s right on Veera Desai Road in the Andheri West area. It’s a busy part of the city, so there’s always noise from the street and other businesses around us. We work on infrastructure projects, so there are always blueprints and technical drawings lying around the desks. Most of our actual work happens out at the construction sites, but this is where the planning and the paperwork get handled. The air conditioner is usually running full blast because it gets stuffy with all the computers. We have a lot of engineers and project managers coming in and out at odd hours. It’s a bit of a maze in the estate if you’re not used to it. We’ve been here for a good while, and we’ve seen the whole Andheri area change and grow up around us. It used to be a lot quieter. Now, it’s a struggle just to get lunch sometimes because of the crowds. We don’t have a big fancy lobby; it’s just a functional space where we can meet and talk about bridges or roads or whatever else is on the schedule. There’s always a deadline looming, so things can get a bit stressed near the end of the month. But mostly, it’s just steady work. We keep our heads down and try to get the projects finished as best as we can without complaining too much.
