Bhandari Ply

We are located at Shop Number 21 in Surya Plaza. You can find us on the Udhna Magdalla Road, right near the Bhatar Char Rasta. That intersection is always busy, so there is a lot of traffic noise coming in from the street. We sell plywood, laminates, and various boards used for making furniture. The shop always smells like fresh wood and glue. We have samples leaning against the walls so people can see the different colors and wood grains. Most of our day is spent talking to carpenters or people who are trying to fix up their houses. We spend a lot of time carrying heavy sheets of ply out to the trucks parked on the side of the road. It is physical work and our clothes usually have sawdust on them by the end of the day. Surya Plaza has been around for many years, and we are one of the older shops in the building. We do not use computers much or have fancy digital catalogs. We just show people the actual wood they are going to buy. Sometimes we run out of a certain thickness and have to wait for the supplier to bring more from the warehouse. We try to be helpful when someone is not sure what kind of board they need for their kitchen or bathroom. It is a straightforward business. We open up, move some stock around, and wait for the next person to walk in.
