Swati Chemicals

Our office for Swati Chemicals is up on the seventh floor of Parshwa Tower, right across from the Rajpath Club on the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway. It is a busy spot and the traffic noise from the highway never really stops, even when the windows are shut tight. We spend most of our time here handling orders and talking to people on the phone about different chemical supplies. It’s not like those big corporate offices you see in magazines; we have some old files stacked up in the corner and the coffee machine makes a weird rattling sound every time someone wants a drink. The view of the city is okay, but mostly we are just looking at the computer screens or checking lists. In the afternoons, the sun comes in quite strong through the front windows, so we usually have to pull the blinds halfway down to see our monitors. The lift in this building can be a bit slow during lunch hours when everyone is trying to head out to the local food stalls nearby. We have been in this location for a while now and most of the regulars around the tower know us by name. It is just a practical space where we get our daily tasks done without much fuss. Sometimes the internet acts up when it rains, but we just wait it out and catch up on the physical paperwork that always seems to pile up on the desks anyway.
