Out on Salawas Road in Jodhpur, things are a bit different than the city center. We are located at Khasra No. 182, Plot No. 16, in a place called Bhomiyajinagar. It’s near Sangaria, which is an area that has grown a lot lately. Our yard is usually full of goods waiting to be moved. Being in the import-export business means we are always looking at clocks and calendars. The dust from the road gets everywhere, so we are always cleaning off the desks. It’s a hot part of the country, especially in the middle of the year, but we are used to it. We have a small shed where we store the most important items. Our team is just a handful of local guys who know how to load a truck and how to handle the paperwork. We don’t use a lot of fancy software; a lot of things are still written down in big ledgers. It’s an old-school way of doing things, but it works for us and our clients. People around here know us as the place on the corner of the plot. We don't spend money on big advertisements. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been here a long time and we know our business. It’s simple, it’s dusty, and it’s a lot of work, but it’s ours.
