Uma Metal Industries

We've been here at Plot No. 205 for quite a while now. It's just a metal workshop, nothing too fancy or modern. My father started it years ago and I eventually took over when he retired. We mostly deal with basic metal work and industrial parts for other businesses nearby. People around here know where to find us if they need something made or fixed. It gets pretty loud during the day because of the old machines running, but that's just how a workshop sounds. We keep things simple. If a customer comes in with a rough sketch or a part that broke off a machine, we see what we can do to help them out. Some days are much busier than others, especially when a big order comes in and we have to stay late. We don't have a big office or anything like that, just the shop floor and a small wooden desk in the corner for the paperwork. It can get pretty dusty, but we try to keep things organized enough so we can actually find our tools when we need them. There’s no big philosophy here, we just show up and do the work every morning. The guys have been with us for years and they know the machines inside out. Sometimes the old lathe acts up a bit, but we always manage.
