B R F Moulds

The workshop is located at 7-4-232 in Geetha Nagar, which is part of the Ferozguda area in Balanagar. It’s an industrial neighborhood, so you’ll hear the sound of metal hitting metal and machines humming all day long. We make moulds here, which is a pretty dirty and loud job most of the time. There is always oil on the floor and metal shavings in the corners of the shop. We don't have a fancy showroom; if you come visit, you’re going to be standing right there on the shop floor where the work happens. My hands are usually covered in grease by noon, and the heat from the machines can get pretty intense during the summer months. We have a small table in the back where we look at designs and sketches, but most of our time is spent standing at the equipment. Balanagar is a tough place to get around because of all the industrial traffic, but it’s the right place for a business like ours. We’ve got some old machines that still work better than the new ones, though they need a lot of maintenance to stay in shape. It is a straightforward operation without any bells or whistles. We just focus on getting the moulds right so they fit what the customer needs. It’s hard work, but there’s a certain satisfaction in seeing a finished piece ready for use.
