You can find us in Mansa, specifically on the road behind the old Gaushala. We are very close to the Nice Hotel, which most people know. Our shop is where we keep all our plywood and wooden boards. It’s a big space but it feels small because of all the stock we keep. There is always that smell of cut wood and glue in the air. We’ve been in this location for many years now. It’s a local business. Carpenters and builders from around the area are our main visitors. They come in and pick through the sheets to find the right grain or thickness. We don’t have a fancy display area. It’s more like a warehouse where you can see exactly what we have. Moving the heavy sheets is a lot of work. We do it ourselves or with a helper. It’s a good way to stay strong. My back feels it by the end of the week. Sometimes we get a bit behind on the stacking and things get a bit messy. Mansa is a quiet place and we like being part of it. We know most of the regulars by their first names. We talk about local news while we load up their vehicles. It’s not a complicated business. We buy wood and we sell it. We keep our prices fair and try to be helpful when someone isn't sure what they need for their project. It’s a steady way to make a living.
