Boyapally Balamma

This is Boyapally Balamma. I live at house 4-64/1 in Rachala Village. Addakal Mandal is where we are located. It’s a quiet place for the most part. My house is where I handle all my business and family matters. We have lived here for many years, so we are part of the local fabric. There is no big sign outside, just the house number on the wall. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen and the main room. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture or gadgets. It’s a simple home. The neighbors are mostly farmers or day workers. We talk over the fences quite a bit. Sometimes I help them and sometimes they help me. That is just how it works in Rachala. The road gets a bit noisy during harvest time with all the carts passing by. Otherwise, you mostly just hear the birds and the wind. I don't really have a specialty. I just do whatever needs to be done that day. Sometimes it is sewing, sometimes it is cooking, sometimes it is helping with the local tasks. We aren't trying to grow into a big company. We just want to keep things steady. It is a modest life, but it is ours. This house has been good to us over the years, and we plan to stay here for a long time. There's a small dog that hangs around the front door too.
