I’ve lived in Udaipur all my life, and Bapubazar is one of those spots that’s always full of noise and people moving about. Our office for Blisstone Impex Llp is at number 251. If you know the city at all, you know that Bapubazar is where everyone goes for their daily needs. We are mostly into stone and export work. It’s a bit crowded in this part of town, but we actually like being right in the middle of all the action. We don't have a huge staff or a human resources department, just a few of us handling the orders and making sure the logistics don't get too messed up. Stone is heavy stuff and moving it around the narrow streets of the 313001 area can be a real headache some days. We spend a lot of time on the old landline or our mobile phones talking with quarries and various truckers. We aren't trying to be some big multinational brand with a shiny glass building and a big logo. We’re just local people who know the stone business through and through. Sometimes a customer wants a very specific slab or color and we have to go walking through the local yards for hours to find the right match. It’s a lot of manual work and legwork. We don't have a website with fancy edited photos, just the real items we have. Most days are spent checking samples and drinking chai while we wait for news on a shipment. It’s a busy life here in the market, but it works for us.
