B. Parmar Engineering Works

Out here at B. Parmar Engineering Works, things are usually pretty greasy and loud. We are located in the Lodhika GIDC area in Metoda. It’s a big industrial hub, and our shop is right in the thick of it, focusing on auto parts. There are a lot of engineering shops around here, but we’ve got our own little corner. The roads in Metoda can be a bit rough sometimes, especially when the big trucks are moving through. We spend our days at the machines, turning metal and fixing parts for various vehicles. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a suit. Most of us have grease under our fingernails by lunch. We’ve been in the Dist. area for a good while now. The shed is big enough for our lathes and tools, and we try to keep it as orderly as an engineering shop can be. You won’t find any fancy brochures here. We just write down what needs doing and get to it. Some days the heat in the GIDC is pretty intense, but the fans keep the air moving enough to work. We know most of the other guys running shops nearby. We help each other out with tools or materials when someone runs short. It’s a simple life, just making parts and making sure the machines keep running.
