Shree Dall Mill

Down on Bhau Patil Road in Bopodi, you’ll find us at Shree Dall Mill. We’ve been at S.No.9 for years. Processing pulses and lentils is what we do, and the smell of the mill is something you get used to pretty quickly. It’s a dusty job, and the machines make a lot of noise, but it’s honest work. We get raw materials delivered in big sacks, and our job is to get them cleaned and processed for the market. Bopodi is a busy area, and being on this road means we see a lot of trucks coming and going. The mill isn't a modern, shiny facility. It’s a place where work gets done. We have a small crew, mostly local guys who have been working with grain for a long time. They know by the feel of the pulse if the machine is set right. Sometimes the electricity cuts out and we have to wait around, which is frustrating, but that’s just how it goes sometimes. We don't have a sales team. We just sell what we produce to the wholesalers and local shops who know our quality. It’s a straightforward way of doing business without any of the extra fluff. We stay focused on the grain and the machinery. That’s pretty much the whole story of our mill. We just open up the shutters every morning and get the machines humming until the day is done.
