Janhavi Driving School

Janhavi Driving School is located out in Uruli Kanchan. We are easy to find because we are right near the Devi Temple in Tupe Vasti. This part of Pune still has a bit of that old village feel even though things are growing fast. Our days start early when the air is still a bit cool. Most of the people who come to us are locals from around the temple or the nearby houses. We don’t have a big fancy setup. It’s just a small space where we keep the keys and the registration books. Teaching someone to drive around here means navigating some narrow lanes and avoiding the occasional stray animal or tractor. It takes a lot of patience, both for the person learning and for us. We’ve had all sorts of people through the door, from teenagers excited about their first bike or car to older parents who finally decided they need to drive themselves to the market. We don't use any high-tech simulators or anything like that. It’s just a car, a quiet road to start on, and a lot of practice. The dust from the road gets into everything, so we are always cleaning the windshields. It’s just a regular local business. We like being part of the community here near the temple. People know us by name, and we know most of them too. It’s a simple way to make a living.
