Our place is out in Rupee Nagar, specifically at Gat No. 224 within the Pauchagauga Housing Society. It might seem a bit strange to have a business like ours inside a housing society area, but that is just how things developed around here over the years. It’s a mix of homes and small industrial setups, so there’s a real community feel to the neighborhood. Our unit is number 895. Inside, it’s mostly machines and workbenches where we put together various tool components. The noise of the lathes and grinders is pretty constant during the day, but the neighbors are used to it by now. We’ve been at this for a long time, and we know most of the people on the street by their first names. It’s not a shiny or new facility, but it’s got everything we need to do the work properly. We spend a lot of time measuring things and making sure the metal is cut just right. There is always a layer of fine metal shavings on the floor by the end of the shift, which we have to sweep up before we go home. The workspace is a bit cramped, especially when we have a lot of components waiting to be finished, but we make it work. It’s an honest day’s labor for us, and we take pride in just getting the job done without any fuss. It's just a regular workshop doing regular work.
