D. K. Pattern & Engineering Company

D. K. Pattern & Engineering Company is located at Plot No-372/2 in Mukund Nagar. We are right opposite the Kasri Mata Mandir, so we hear the temple bells throughout the day. It’s a decent spot for a workshop. We do a mix of pattern making and some general engineering stuff. The shop is usually full of heavy equipment and pieces of metal. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear nice clothes. We get grease on everything. There’s always a project on the table that needs finishing. Some days we are welding, other days we are just filing things down to size. Mukund Nagar has a lot of small businesses like ours. We know the guys next door. We don't have a marketing department or anything. Most of our work comes from word of mouth. If we do a job for someone, they might tell their friends. That’s how we’ve stayed open. It can get pretty hot in the summer with the machines running. We have a couple of fans, but they just move the warm air around. We take breaks when we need to. It’s honest work. We try to get the dimensions right because that’s what matters in engineering. If it’s not right, it shouldn’t leave the shop. That is our basic rule. No fuss, just the job. We keep going as long as there is work to do.
