Swastik Marble

We've been at Gandhi Nagar for a while now. It's right near the I.I.T. gate in Powai, so people usually find us pretty easily. We deal in different types of marble. It’s a dusty job, but someone has to do it. The yard stays busy most days. Most of our time involves loading trucks or showing someone a specific slab they saw last week. We don't have a fancy showroom. It's just us and the stone. If you come by, you'll see how we work. Sometimes the stock is low, other times we have too much. We try to keep things organized but it’s hard with heavy blocks. My uncle started this place and we just kept it going. We know the neighbors. The traffic on the main road can be a real pain during the afternoons. If you're looking for flooring or a kitchen top, we probably have something that fits. We don't do much talking, mostly just showing what’s on the racks. It’s honest work. The weather affects things here. When it rains, everything gets messy. We have some guys who help with the lifting. They’ve been here for years. You get used to the sound of the saws after a while.
