Rushit Enterprise

If you know Masjid Bunder, you know how crowded Abdul Rehman Street can be. We are at number 240, right in the thick of it. It’s a narrow street packed with shops and people moving goods on handcarts. Our shop, Rushit Enterprise, is right there among the rest. It’s loud, it’s dusty, and there is never a moment of peace during the day. We have been in this area for a long time, and we are used to the chaos. Our space is small and filled to the ceiling with stock. We don't have a lot of room to move around, so we have to be very organized with how we stack things. There is no air conditioning here, just a couple of old fans that try their best. We talk to customers all day, mostly regulars who have been buying from us for years. We don't use any fancy sales talk. We just tell people what we have and what the price is. Sometimes we have to shout to be heard over the noise of the street outside. Lunch is usually eaten quickly at the desk while someone else watches the door. By the time we close up and head home, we are pretty tired from the constant movement. It is a tough place to work but it’s where the business is, so we stay put and keep going. That is the life of a trader in this part of the city.
