Robonik

Robonik is based out of the Laxmi Industrial Estate in Andheri West. We are in unit 31-D, right off the Link Road. If you know Mumbai, you know that Link Road is always a mess of traffic and noise. The industrial estate itself is a maze of small factories and offices. It’s a very gritty, hardworking environment. We focus on medical diagnostic equipment here. Inside our unit, you’ll find benches covered in electronic parts and technicians looking through magnifying glasses. It’s technical work that requires a lot of patience. We don't have a carpeted lobby or a receptionist in a suit. When you walk in, you see the work happening right there. We spend a lot of our time testing machines to make sure they are reading correctly. If a diagnostic tool isn't accurate, it’s useless. That’s why we are often here late into the night. The humidity in Mumbai can be hard on the equipment, so we have to keep the air conditioning running constantly. We’ve been in this spot for years and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. Despite all the new malls and cafes popping up in Andheri, our little corner of the industrial estate stays pretty much the same. We just keep focusing on the machines and the technical side of the medical field. It’s a busy, cramped, and noisy life, but we are used to it by now and wouldn't have it any other way.
