Redilens

Redilens is tucked away in A-1 at the New Sonal Industrial Estate. Being just off Saki-Vihar Road in Powai, it gets pretty busy around here with all the traffic and people moving about constantly. Our space is a bit cramped because we have a lot of equipment for what we do. It’s an industrial estate, so there’s always something being loaded downstairs and the elevator is a bit slow and makes weird noises sometimes. We spend a lot of time focused on precise work that takes a lot of patience. There’s a lot of cleaning and double-checking involved in our daily routine. The lighting in our unit is very bright so we can see every little detail on the lenses. We don't really have a lobby or a receptionist. When you walk in, you’re pretty much right in the middle of where everything happens. We have a few desks pushed against the wall for the paperwork and some old calendars. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when a lot of stuff arrives at once, but we manage to stay on top of it. Most of us have been working together for a long time, so we don't need to say much to get the job done. We just show up, put on our work gear, and get through the day’s list of tasks. It’s not a glamorous spot, but it’s where we do our work. We like the fact that it’s a real working environment.
