Rectifier House is on the second floor of Ahmed Mansion, which is number 366 on Lamington Road. If you’ve ever been to Lamington Road, you know how hectic it is with all the electronics shops and people everywhere. We are right in the thick of it. Being on the second floor helps us stay a little bit away from the street noise, though it still drifts up. Our space is 13-A. It’s an old building, the kind with high ceilings and those thick walls. We don't have a flashy storefront. It’s more of a place where we keep our stock and handle the paperwork. Most of what we do involves rectifiers and similar components. It's steady work. We’ve been in this spot for years, so we know the other shopkeepers around here. It’s a community of sorts. Lunch usually means someone going out to grab tea or snacks for everyone. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the orders go out right. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs. It keeps us moving, I guess. It’s a practical way to run things. No big corporate policies, just a simple routine that works for us and the people who buy from us. Lamington Road has a life of its own, and we're just happy to have our corner in Ahmed Mansion. It's home for the business.
