We are located in the Sona Shopping Centre, which is right by the Kandivali station on Trikamdas Road. Our office is room 113 on the first floor. Being so close to the station in Kandivali West means it’s always busy around here. You can hear the trains and the announcements throughout the day. Pol Depository is a place where we handle securities and depository work. It’s a lot of very detailed paperwork, checking IDs, and processing forms for demat accounts. We have to be very careful because there’s no room for errors in this line of work. The office is fairly small and often has stacks of documents waiting to be processed. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a small team of us who know the rules inside out. People come in from the neighborhood to get their share-related issues sorted. We don't use any fancy language; we just explain what needs to be done to get their accounts in order. It’s a very practical, hands-on kind of job. Sometimes the office gets a bit hot in the summer, but we have a couple of fans that keep things moving. We usually work through the day and try to clear all the pending applications before we head home. It’s just honest, local work in a very busy part of Mumbai where we know the regulars.
