We are located in Lohar Chawl, which is one of those places that stays packed from morning until night. Our office is at number 98, on the second floor, in room 11. If you’ve ever walked through these lanes, you know how narrow and crowded it gets with all the carts and people moving goods. It’s an old building, so the stairs are a bit steep and the hallways are narrow. Inside room 11, it’s mostly shelves and boxes. We trade in various hardware and electrical items that people in the city need. It’s a small space, so we have to be careful about where we stack things or we’ll run out of room to sit. There is usually a lot of shouting from the street below and the smell of tea from the stall downstairs. We’ve been operating out of this room for a while, and even though it’s cramped, it works for us. Most of our customers are regular shopkeepers or contractors who have been coming to this area for decades. We don't bother with fancy decorations because there isn't really any space for them anyway. Usually, someone is always checking the inventory or writing out invoices by hand. It’s a bit chaotic, especially when a big delivery arrives and we have to haul everything up the stairs, but that’s just a normal day at the chawl. We just try to get the orders right and keep things moving.
